First Harvest!
Yesterday we harvested our first arugula! Not just because we grew it, but I have to say it was the most delicious arugula I have ever tasted! There wasn't enough to go around so will be planting more today but soon yummy salads for all!

Arugula!
It's coming along! And it tastes great!
We finally took our seedlings to the beds- unfortunately a lot did not survive the transplant but the cucumbers and melons are looking great. Eduardo's passionfruit trees are taking over and the papaya are growing nicely.

OFF THE GRID!
It's official- we are off the grid! Thanks to Costco for selling affordable solar panels and Eduardo for his intuition and knowledge to set up the water tanks... now we can start to plant! The seedlings are doing well, for the most part, and some are ready to go to the planting beds. A major challenge has been the wind! 15-20 mphs! Next step is setting up the irrigation system and placing the row covers. Finally some pictures to share!
